Strong, blustery NE winds become northerly this afternoon.

Hurricane Noel has transitioned into a powerful coastal storm overnight that will track up to the northeast this afternoon. This low is expected to deepen even further with winds trending much stronger for North Shore waters today as they back from the NE to the N this afternoon.
 • Very blustery with powerful gusts possible into 60s especially by the afternoon hours and evening hours.
 • Chilly temps won't break out of the 40s.
 • NWS highlights open PM seas building into the 13-18 ft range.

Strong ENE winds become dangerously strong this afternoon as they back to the NE and N.

What's left of Hurricane Noel has made the transition to a very powerful coastal storm this morning. This low is expected to deepen even further this afternoon and bring dangerously strong NE to N winds to the Cape Cod region this afternoon.
 • Very blustery with powerful gusts possible into the 60s and 70s by the afternoon and evening hours.
 • Look for a backing trend from the NE to the N and NNW.
 • Chilly temps won't break out of the 40s.
 • NWS highlights a Hurricane Force Wind Warning for this afternoon with sea heights approaching 9-14ft or higher.
